With over 25 years in the industry, I’ve realized that it’s not just about weight loss, intensity, metrics, and measurements. It’s about creating a healthy, balanced lifestyle for all stages of life. It’s about wanting more for your health and not settling for less. I help people who want to move better & feel better from the inside out find an effective, time-efficient and sustainable solution to fitness. I use my strength & conditioning background to prepare others for the game of life! We all have an ‘inner athlete’ that can thrive through training.
Fitness is multidimensional – physical, emotional & mental. There needs to be a harmonious balance. All of these require training & coaching – guidance, accountability & support are essential pillars. Education and empowerment are the foundation of my service.
After having a miraculous birth myself, creating a life through experience, breaking barriers and overcoming adversity, I’m here to appreciate each day. I’ve lived through the frustration, anxiety, and challenges life delivers beyond our control. Fitness provided me (and continues to offer me) the strength & tenacity to persevere. I’ve made it my full-time career to help others experience the same – through professional training & coaching. To help as many people as possible realize that fitness training & lifestyle management will give them the strength and energy they need to experience a life filled with joy and fulfillment – a high-performing life.
Together, we can!
I spent 15 years teaching and certifying Personal Trainers through canfitpro (Canadian Fitness Professionals Inc.) and have taught Fitness and Wellness for the Police Foundations Program and the Canadian Armed Forces at Algonquin College. I am also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, with one of the top certifying bodies in the world, The National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). In 2014, I created and launched The ACTIVATE FitCon – an uplifting personal and professional development event for fitness professionals and enthusiasts. I believe in the importance of premiere fitness education and am passionate about supporting other fitness professionals.
I believe in optimizing workouts and making your workout time more valuable. Teaching proper form, technique and safety, along with motivation and fun, and of course getting results, are skills I possess as a Professional Personal Trainer. I will help you reach your full potential, to be the best you want to be, both physically and mentally. I thrive on helping others attain their personal goals through individualized and group programs, and to see the joy and satisfaction once goals are accomplished and surpassed. I whole heartedly believe that Life’s Better Fit!
After growing up in Ottawa, I moved to Toronto where I expanded my career as a Personal Trainer, gaining a variety of experience in training for general fitness to fitness testing of NHL athletes. I returned to Ottawa in 2005, and have been running a successful Training, Coaching & Mentoring business since 2007.
I have had much success in the development of strength, endurance, weight loss, muscle mass gain, flexibility, postural improvements, lifestyle management and have helped many people accomplish things they never thought were possible.
As a busy mom of 2 little ones, an entrepreneur and a Strength & Lifestyle Coach, I understand the importance of carving out “me time” to improve your health and fitness. I also understand the challenges that comes with finding that ideal balance. I’m here to provide the solution & support you need.
I love to help people create healthy lifestyles and fit bodies, one body at a time!
“All nominees were scored on subjects such as education, certifications, years in the business, philanthropy and community service. Additional topics which included success stories and personal fitness philosophies were ‘blind-scored’ by our skilled expert panelists who spent hours reading some pretty inspiring stories. What was not part of the scoring criteria was how many social media followers one had, and there was no popularity voting.”
